Plastic Welding
Plastic hot gas welding is a means of fastening together similar pieces of material without the use of solvents or mechanical fasteners.
This is accomplished by heating up the material to be welded (parent) and a welding rod of the same material. They are brought together, under pressure, as they melt. When they cool down, if welded properly, the materials are bonded together to form a solid joint.
There are a variety of weld types, such as triple or triangular, that can be utilized depending on the material and the application.
Types of materials that we can weld are: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polypropylene, Polycarbonate, ABS, PVDF and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).
